Meet: Shinhoo, Pastoral Intern
I was born and raised in South Korea until the age of 16, and I came to the states to study abroad. By God's grace I was able to finish my college degree, and I went back to Korea to serve my military duty, which is mandatory for all Korean male citizens for two years. While I was in military, I served as a chaplain assistant, where I had great opportunities to explore a church.
Heading toward the end of my service, God planted a heart for the church in me, so I came to Boston to go to seminary right after my service was done. While I was studying theology in Boston, I had a privilege to serve a Korean church where the majority of the congregation was very young and enthusiastic about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I met my lovely wife SungA there, and we got married after about a year of dating. Now we are expecting a baby in July, 2015. I came to Vroom Street Church as a pastoral intern for 1 year as an extension of my seminary education, and I just want to dedicate this time for the Lord Jesus to help spiritual growth of the church.
